Modern Companies, a third-generation, family-owned mechanical contracting company, is hiring an HVAC Service Technician to join its team in Dubuque, IA.
As an HVAC Service Technician, you will troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install HVAC systems and related equipment. Additionally, you’ll coordinate assigned service agreements or projects, ensuring all contractual commitments are met efficiently, on time, and within budget.

Position Responsibilities:
Diagnose and resolve HVAC system issues using technical guides and schematics, ensuring full system functionality before departure
Communicate clearly with customers, investigate concerns, and provide guidance or next steps with professionalism and clarity
Prioritize tasks, arrive prepared, and coordinate effectively with team members to complete jobs efficiently and on schedule
Identify sales opportunities, provide qualified leads, and recommend system upgrades or replacements when appropriate
Complete accurate service records and keep all stakeholders informed of job progress and customer concerns
Position Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
HVAC/R and Boilers experience
Universal CFC License
Modern is a Signatory Contractor with Local 25 and Local 91; must be willing to join the union if not already a member
